Hockey!
This is just a reminder that we are going to University of Alberta Hockey game on Friday. The cost is only $5! But you need to tell me by TOMORROW (Wednesday, Jan 19) if you are coming so we can arrange rides! It will be fantastic! Maybe we can do the wave and bang on the glass when there is a good check! Or maybe we can just play it cool and eat popcorn and pics during the game. However you like to enjoy your hockey, you'll want to be there! :)

2011 is Here!
We have some great events planned for 2011- and lots of weeks not yet planned so make sure to get your ideas and requests in!
Unless otherwise stated we meet from 7-9:30pm at the church.
Friday, Jan 7- Winter Wackiness
Friday, Jan 14-Beach Night (because we are sick of the cold and snow- so dig out your shades, flip flops and that Hawaiian shirt that you never get to wear!).
Friday, Jan 21 U of A Bears Hockey Game! We are going to cheer on the University hockey team. Cost is $5.00 (which is a great price!). This is great event to bring your friends to (they just need to fill out the field trip form). We will meet at the church at 6:30 pm. Pick up time is 10:30 pm.

December has arrived already. We put up our lights today and hopefully will get our tree up tomorrow. I am starting to get into the Christmas mood- how about you? With all the hype and events and decorations and gift buying lists, it is easy to forget the purpose of the Christmas celebration. Enjoy all the glitter and such, but let's also make sure we have some moments to reflect on and celebrate the birth of our Saviour!

Friday December 3, 7-9:30 pm at the church It will be one that you definitely won’t want to miss. I can’t tell you exactly what it is (because that would ruin the surprise) but let’s just say it is very sweet and christmasy!

Friday, December 17, 5:30- 10:30 Our Christmas Gala! The details of this event are also a surprise. But what you need to know is that you will be enjoying a three course meal and lots of fun. Bring a donation for the food bank and a $5 wrapped gift for a wacky gift exchange. Dress code is less than formal, but a little ritzier than casual. You need to RSVP for this event, so make sure that you let Heather know if you are coming.
