It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is almost here! We have some great events planned for this month so be sure to come out.
FRIDAY, JUNE 1 Giant Park Tag We will be going to the YMCA park to play a massive game of park tag. Bring some money to buy a treat at McDonalds afterwards. We will be meeting at the church at 7 pm and leaving for the park around 7:20pm. Pick up time is 9:30 at the church.
FRIDAY, JUNE 8 MALL SCAVENGER HUNT Meet at Londonderry Mall at the SAVE-ON-FOODS outside door at 7 pm. This is going to be an epic event as your group explores the mall and completes your tasks! Pick up time is 9:30 pm at the Save-On-Foods outside entrance.
FRIDAY JUNE 15, Beach Volleyball We will be playing some crazy games of volleyball. Bring your mosquito repellent! 7-9:30 pm at the church.
FRIDAY JUNE 22, MOVIE NIGHT Popcorn and a good movie- a great way to relax after all those exams!
THURSDAY, JUNE 29 CAMPFIRE and GAMES! As this the long weekend, we will be meeting on THURSDAY this week. We will be meeting at our house at 7pm to 10pm. We will go to the nearby field and play some games and then come back for our house for a campfire and some smores!

MAY 4, 2012 Survivor Night. Light the torches, strategize with your tribe, and get ready for some fierce competition as you tackle some intense challenges. 7:00- 9:30 pm at the church.
MAY 11, 2012 Capture the Flag Come prepared to be out the great outdoors. In this intensely fun contest your team must defend your flag and capture your opponents flag. 7:00- 9:30 pm at the church.
MAY 19, 2012 No youth this weekend. Enjoy the long weekend!
MAY 25, 2012 Request Night- (Play-It-Again) Let us know your favourite games from this past year that you want to play tonight. 7:00- 9:30 pm at the church.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24 NO YOUTH THIS WEEKEND! (don't be too distraught- youth group will be back the next weekend March 2 with a fantastic event that you won't want to miss!)
FRIDAY, MARCH 2 MYSTERY NIGHT You will need to investigate the clues to solve the
mystery. This is a going to be a great event and we need as many people as we can in order to solve the mystery! So book this day in your calendar and bring friends. Did we mention that there are no lights and all is dark? :) 7:00-9:30 pm at the church

WELCOME TO 2012!
New Beginnings. That is what I always think of when I think of the a new year beginning. A chance to start fresh, a whole new year of possibilities and new adventures to be lived in the coming year. New Beginnings- that is what our life in Christ also offers us. The Bible says that the old has gone and the new has begun. He is making us into something new, something better. Sometimes, that is not always easy- it is hard to let go sometimes, even scary- but God offers us something so much better. He wants to transform you into someone beautiful, someone who reflects His image and love. So embrace the newness, embrace the transforming work of Christ in your life this year. Let's be made new in 2012!

Also, we are looking for STUP coupons for 2 for 1 admission to U of A Bears Hockey, for our drivers. So if you have a STUP book, please bring along that coupon.

DECEMBER HAPPENINGS!
We have many fun, fabulous and festive festivities planned for December! It is such a great time of year where we have so many opportunities to celebrate the gift of our Saviour.
Friday, December 2, 2011 THE GREAT GIFT EVENT 7-9:30 pm meet at the church
Last year we did a white elephant gift exchange and this year we will give with a difference. Bring $5 or whatever donation you are able to and whatever the youth group raises we will match. Then we will head to Toys R Us and go toy shopping! How fun is that? The toys that you buy will be donated to Santa's Anonymous for needy children. (remember to get your permission forms in to us for this trip).

Come out for some fantastic food and great laughs. We will be joining the church for this feast. It will be an entertaining night with some hilarious drama (not quite panic squad, but I am sure that the actors will have panic!) You need a ticket to come. Let us know by Sunday December 4 if you are coming!
