December has arrived already. We put up our lights today and hopefully will get our tree up tomorrow. I am starting to get into the Christmas mood- how about you? With all the hype and events and decorations and gift buying lists, it is easy to forget the purpose of the Christmas celebration. Enjoy all the glitter and such, but let's also make sure we have some moments to reflect on and celebrate the birth of our Saviour!

Friday December 3, 7-9:30 pm at the church It will be one that you definitely won’t want to miss. I can’t tell you exactly what it is (because that would ruin the surprise) but let’s just say it is very sweet and christmasy!

Saturday, December 11, 7-9:30 at the church. Movie and munchie night!

Friday, December 17, 5:30- 10:30 Our Christmas Gala! The details of this event are also a surprise. But what you need to know is that you will be enjoying a three course meal and lots of fun. Bring a donation for the food bank and a $5 wrapped gift for a wacky gift exchange. Dress code is less than formal, but a little ritzier than casual. You need to RSVP for this event, so make sure that you let Heather know if you are coming.

We are watching the movie "To Save a Life" on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010. It is an amazing movie. If you missed seeing it last month, then you definitely want to make it on on Saturday. Those who saw it the first time can't wait to see it again- they give it two thumbs up!
So bring some friends and see you there. The movie starts at 7:00 and we plan to meet at 6:45pm to get seats together.

Video Night - Friday August 13

Hello all! I hope that you are having a "sunsational" summer!

I am sure that you are thinking September is just way too far away to wait for a youth event. So here is something to relieve your youth group withdrawals! :)

The Journey (the church that uses CDBC in the evenings) is hosting a youth video night. The movie is called "To Save a Life" and you can check it out at tosavealifemovie.com. I checked out the trailer and it looks like a great movie. Here are the details:

We can't promise you AC or slurpees (maybe Kevin will bring licorice if we give him lots of subtle hints like this)- but it should be a fantastic time, great movie, and some good chat afterward.

Also, let's keep in touch this summer. Let us know what you have been doing with your days. Highlights of camp, or travels, or just hanging out. If there is anything that we can be praying about too, keep us in the loop. Let's remember to pray for Daniel and Kwesi on their missions trip.
